My Story
The heart behind my work
I've always had a heart for walking alongside people through life's ups and downs. For over 15 years, I've had the opportunity to support others through mentoring, leading groups, and helping people navigate relationships, personal struggles, and difficult seasons. But my passion for counseling is also personal. During a particularly difficult season in my own life, I experienced firsthand just how much of a difference therapy can make. Having someone provide a safe place to process what I was going through, without judgment, was incredibly meaningful. That experience played a big part in my decision to become a counselor. I wanted to be able to offer others that same kind of support. Outside of the counseling room, I'm a mom of three kids and have two dogs who add plenty of personality (and chaos!) to our home. Life is busy, sometimes messy, and definitely not always picture-perfect. I understand that we're all juggling different responsibilities, relationships, and challenges. I believe therapy doesn't have to feel intimidating or overly clinical. My hope is that when you sit down with me, it feels comfortable, genuine, and a little like sitting around the kitchen table having a meaningful conversation with someone who truly cares. You don't have to have everything figured out. I'm here to walk alongside you as you find your way forward.
My Approach
Collaborative and curious
My approach to counseling is warm, relaxed, and down-to-earth. I believe therapy should feel like a conversation, not an interview. I create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can be yourself. Together, we'll work through life's challenges, explore new perspectives, and find practical ways to move forward. I offer both compassion and accountability, meeting you where you are while encouraging meaningful growth and change.
Collaborative
You're the expert on your own life. My role is to ask the right questions, offer new perspectives, and walk alongside you — not lead you somewhere you don't want to go.
Trauma-informed
Your past experiences may shape your story, but they don't have to define your future. My approach is gentle, supportive, and focused on helping you feel safe as we work through difficult experiences, at a pace that feels right for you.
Warm and direct
I'll be honest with you, gently. Therapy works best when there's real conversation — not just validation, but genuine engagement with what you're going through.
